|
The Florida Men beat the Port Royal Disaster, 7-6, at Psychos Ballpark. The win was due in part to right fielder Takenao Taniguchi, who was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Christian Roberts earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Florida, with the win, is 6-2.
Taniguchi was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Florida. With the game tied in the bottom of the fifth inning, Taniguchi had a clutch at-bat. That's when he grounded out, driving in 1 run to give the Men a 7-6 lead.
