Sidney Jones, the 25th overall pick in the 2049 draft, had a strong outing for the Calgary Lynx against the Hamilton Thunderbirds at Lynx Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Calgary reliever Ángel Enamorado picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Wilbert Irwin took the loss. With the loss, Hamilton sinks to 3-6.

Calgary grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, Miguel Zarate delivered a 2-run single, to make it 5-3, in favor of the Lynx.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Zarate.
