Tight Tilt Goes to Men, 2-1
|
In a tight tilt between the Florida Men and the Sunset District Fog, William Maxwell was the deciding factor. The Florida right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Florida, now 10-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.
The Men benefited from a costly error in the top of the fourth. With Aca Milosevic at bat and Florida leading 1-0, the Sunset District miscue allowed Florida to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Maxwell told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
