Rock 'Em! Sock 'Em! Millon Blasts 3 Homers in Austin Win
|
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Marvello Millon, the Austin Black Mambas defeated the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 6-3. Millon slugged 3 home runs for the Black Mambas. Picking up the win was Tom Butler. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 8 and walked 1. The Squirrel Monkeys drop to 6-7 and continue their mediocre start to the 2058 season.
Austin used a timely hit from Eric Duncan to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Black Mambas ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Millon said.
