|
The Port Royal Disaster topped the Ft. Myers Marlins, 5-4, in M3L Triple A action at Ballpark of Port Royal. The standout performance belonged to Port Royal pitcher and Long Beach, California, native Lawrence Tate. Port Royal now has a record of 9-6.
In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 4-4, 24-year old third baseman Troy Swati won it for Port Royal. With a runner on 3rd, Swati hit a first pitch fastball from Cliff Keir for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 5-4 win.
"This game had its share of tense moments," Swati said, postgame.
