Both offenses were relatively subdued at Monster Field. Fortunately for the Hamilton Thunderbirds, though, Brad Reid was able to deliver in the clutch. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times, to lead his team past the Vermont Lake Monsters, 3-2. Dillon Khassanov picked up the save, his 4th. Hamilton has a mark of 6-9 after the win.

Joe Kramer had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for Hamilton. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Hamilton in front, 3-1.
