Vermont left-hander Bennett Dodd pitched his team to victory over the Hartford Pride at Monster Field. The final score was 6-3. The win lifts Vermont to a record of 7-9.

The Pride had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Lake Monsters going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old second baseman Hank Sutton came to the plate. Sutton hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 changeup from Hartford hurler Anthony Hines. It was Sutton's 4th double of the year.

"Big team win," Sutton said later.
