Benny Thompson had a strong outing for the Vermont Lake Monsters against the Hialeah Dodos at Monster Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. Howard Moore earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game. Vermont is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 16 games.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Lake Monsters had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when second baseman Keith Anthony hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jim Lee and made the score 1-0, Lake Monsters. Anthony went 1-3.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Thompson told the Vermont Times.
