Sunset District picked up a win at Whips Ballpark, bumping off the Pawnee ParksNRec, 6-3. Pitcher Gary Baxter was a major reason the Fog emerged victorious. Picking up his 6th save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Teddy Harvey. Pawnee, with the loss, is 11-7.
Pat Simpson, the Sunset District left fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 3-0, Fog. For the game, Simpson went 1 for 4 with a hit by pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Baxter. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
