The Hialeah Dodos defeated the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 3-2, in M3L Triple A action at Dodos Ballpark. Hialeah pitcher Josh Martin had a standout performance. The win went to Júlio Migueles in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Billy Cooper took the loss. Port Huron, at 5-14, is off to a poor start in 2063.
Grease Zerk, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA in RBI with 16, took Port Huron hurler Billy Cooper deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Dodos on top, 3-2. In all, Zerk had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Martin.
