The Port Royal Disaster topped the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-2, in M3L Triple A action at Spirits Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Port Royal pitcher and Raleigh, North Carolina, native Ron Woods. Woods picked up the win for Port Royal, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. Javier Camacho earned the save for Port Royal, his 2nd of the year.

Lloyd Russell went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Port Royal. With no one out and the game tied in the top of the eighth inning, Russell had a clutch at-bat. Facing Salt Lake City hurler Brad Bray, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Disaster a 3-2 lead.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Woods.

The Disaster, with just their 6th win in 20 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
