Port Royal pitcher Alvin Buchanan had a large part in his team beating the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Javier Camacho earned the save for Port Royal, his 3rd. The win gives the Disaster a record of 7-14.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Hawk Tuahsson? The 23-year old second baseman Tuahsson stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Port Royal up, 4-3. For the game, he was 4 for 5, including 1 double and 3 singles.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Buchanan said in reaction to the win.
