Men Defeat Dogfish Head, 2-1
|
The Milton Dogfish Head could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Niek Proeme into a win. Instead, the Florida Men prevailed, 2-1, in 10 innings. Proeme threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Florida has an impressive 15-7 record.
The Men got a clutch hit from catcher Scotty Pike. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Men.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Pike.
