The Toronto Thunder beat the New Orleans Voodoo, 6-5, in part because of right fielder John Matthews. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Picking up his 7th save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Ron Murphy. The Thunder raised their record to 18-12.
