In a low-scoring contest, Hudson Bay pitcher Mauro Ramos was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. The win belonged to Ben van de Loo in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Earl Alaniz took the loss for Hamilton. Hudson Bay now sports a record of 15-8.

Hudson Bay used the timely hitting of Pedro Farga to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Redwoods on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Ramos called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
