|
Marlins shortstop Gerald Stufi put his stamp on his team's 11-5 win over the Port Huron Blitzkrieg. Stufi went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Ft. Myers in the contest. Ft. Myers's record now stands at 12-11, placing them 4th in the Menard's AAA.
In the bottom of the fifth, Gustavo López delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Ft. Myers designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Marlins in front, 11-5.
"Enjoyed this one," Stufi told the Ft. Myers Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
