Plymouth used a superb performance from starting pitcher David Downs to down the Pawnee ParksNRec, 4-1. Downs, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. The Rocks saw their record improve to 10-14.

Plymouth took the lead, 3-1, on Yoshihito Takeuchi's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Pawnee pitcher Daniel Goodhew in the top of the eighth.
