Another day, another victory for the red-hot Florida Men.

The Florida Men defeated the Vermont Lake Monsters, 10-4, at Psychos Ballpark. Florida was led by former first round draft pick Broderick Petersen, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Picking up the win was Júlio Ramírez. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 1.

Peter Faddeev had a big run-scoring triple for the Men in the bottom of the first inning. With Florida leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Bennett Dodd, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA in wins with 3, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Men ahead, 2-0.

"Hitting is contagious. And when you have a lineup that's going to throw out competitive at-bats one through nine, it makes you want to join in," said Petersen.

The second-place Men have won 10 in a row.
