Good production from left fielder Sam Forbes helped the Pawnee ParksNRec topple the Port Royal Disaster, 16-7. Forbes was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the ParksNRec. The winner in relief was Eduardo Soto. He is now 3-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. Pawnee is now 12-14, while Port Royal is 11-15.

The Disaster had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the ParksNRec going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old second baseman Vince Taylor came to the plate. Taylor hit a 2-run triple on a 1-0 fastball from Port Royal hurler Danny Dean. It was Taylor's 3rd triple of the year.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Forbes told the Pawnee Citizen.
