The Hialeah Dodos beat the Norfolk Pajaritos, 8-6, at Dodos Ballpark. Hialeah shortstop John Hall banged out 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 4 runs. Hialeah reliever Jack Barr was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Martín Orozco. Carl van Bekenes closed the door for Hialeah, picking up his 5th save of the year.

Hialeah took the lead, 7-6, on Gilberto Miranda's 7th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Miranda hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Norfolk pitcher Dale Bernard crestfallen.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Dodos manager Albert Pérez. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

With the win, Hialeah goes to 13-13, while the Pajaritos fall to 20-6.
