The Austin Black Mambas withstood an impressive performance by Sunset District right fielder Miguel González to defeat the Fog, 6-5, at Mamba Park. González went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Black Mambas improved to 14-13.

The Black Mambas were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 32-year old left fielder Alexander Karshev landed a big blow. He turned a full count fastball from Chris Edwards into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Mamba Park denizens into a frenzy and sent the Black Mambas home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Austin manager Perry Bothof.
