Poggi Shines in 7-2 Pawnee Win
|
The Pawnee ParksNRec took on the Salt Lake City Buzz at Spirits Stadium.
The exploits of third baseman Biff Poggi, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2054 draft, helped the Pawnee ParksNRec defeat the Salt Lake City Buzz, 7-2. Poggi hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. At 13-15, Pawnee is in 6th place in the Menard's AAA.
With Pawnee leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Poggi hit a fastball from Martín Cedeño for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the ParksNRec ahead, 4-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Poggi after the game.
