Oglethorpe Excels, But Marlins Win
The Florida Men got a sterling performance from center fielder Ted Oglethorpe, but the Ft. Myers Marlins still prevailed, 11-7. Oglethorpe was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Rex Manning, who threw 105 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 6 runs on 8 hits. Frederick Anderson got credit for the save for Ft. Myers. It was his 2nd of the year.

In the bottom of the first inning, first baseman Dan Stoffel had a grand slam home run for Ft. Myers. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Marlins on top, 4-0.
