Mike Nichols, who leads the 3AAA in wins with 5, pitched well, but the Milton Dogfish Head still fell short, losing, 4-1, to the Hialeah Dodos at Milton Corner Tavern. Damon Colcott claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-0. By defeating Milton, the 9th-place Dodos improved to 13-16.

Hialeah used the clutch hitting of Jeff Huffman to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dodos ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Huffman.
