Port Huron Blitzkrieg pitcher Teika Fukuda was in top form, leading his team past the Pawnee ParksNRec, 3-1. Luis Montáñez was credited with the save for Port Huron, his 5th of the season. With the win, the Blitzkrieg are 10-19.
Tied up with the ParksNRec in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Blitzkrieg got a boost from first baseman Oscar Morton. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Morton saw a first pitch fastball from Francisco Torres and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Port Huron on top, 1-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Morton.
