The Sunset District Fog and Vermont Lake Monsters played an exciting game.

Sunset District turned a good performance from starting pitcher Andrew Martin into a 3-2 triumph over the Vermont Lake Monsters in 10 innings at Monster Field. The winner in relief was Ed Mullins. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Teddy Harvey earned the save for Sunset District, his 8th of the year.

Quentin Pegler drove in one run for Sunset District. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Pegler had a clutch at-bat. Facing Vermont hurler Albert Hernández, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Fog a 3-2 lead.

"We busted our tails," said Vermont manager Alfonso Núñez. "But we came up short."

Sunset District is 15-15 and Vermont, with the loss, 12-18.
