Redwoods Win with Late Heroics
Behind the hitting of Troy Palmer, the Hudson Bay Redwoods stopped the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 8-5, in 11 innings. Palmer was 3-6 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Redwoods. David García snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-3 on the season. Mark Horton suffered the loss. With the win, the Redwoods have a record of 17-14.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the 11th. With Hudson Bay trailing 5-4, Palmer jumped on a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Horton and hit a grand slam home run to right-center. With one swing, the Redwoods had a walk-off win.
