The Hialeah Dodos rode a solid performance from 29-year-old starting pitcher Tim Moore to a win, beating the Calgary Lynx, 5-2, at Lynx Stadium. Hialeah is now 16-15, Calgary 22-9.
In the top of the third, Hialeah right fielder Rover Diggins had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Diggins stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Hialeah. For the game, he went 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Moore told the Hialeah Daily.
