The Salt Lake City Buzz picked up a win at Monster Field, taking down the Vermont Lake Monsters, 2-1. Starting pitcher Masato Rin was a big reason why. Sib Gijbels finished the game for Salt Lake City and earned his 1st save. The Buzz raised their record to 15-16.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Dustin Ackerman? The 26-year old catcher Ackerman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Salt Lake City up, 2-1. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 2 doubles and 1 single.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Ackerman.
