The inspired effort of Florida center fielder Ted Oglethorpe was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-4, to the Sunset District Fog. Oglethorpe went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. Stephen Jones, the winner, goes to 1-4. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 6 innings. Teddy Harvey got the save, the 9th for him this season.

Robert Block had a big 2-run double for the Fog in the bottom of the first inning. With Sunset District leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Nelson Shaffer, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fog ahead, 3-0.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Block said.

The Fog move to 16-15 with the win, while the Men drop to 20-11.
