The Lynx grabbed a win, 4-3, at Plymouth Quarry, overcoming a fine effort from Plymouth pitcher Edgardo García. García went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The 9th-place Rocks dropped to 15-20.

Calgary used the timely hitting of Tim Raines to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lynx on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

After the game, Calgary manager Steve Duncan applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
