Bode Shines in 10-5 Vermont Win
Vermont left fielder Bartolo Bode made his presence felt in the 10-5 Lake Monsters triumph over the Ft. Myers Marlins. Bode was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs. Vermont now sits at 17-21, while Ft. Myers falls to 17-21.

Had Nikolaj Molnar not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Molnar hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Lake Monsters.

Bode told a Vermont Gazette reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
