The Sunset District Fog finished off the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 8-2. Much of the credit belonged to designated hitter Chris Rodríguez. Rodríguez went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Fog. Larry Lambert, the winner, improved to 3-3. He held Hamilton to 1 run on 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The triumph puts Sunset District at 20-18 for the season.
Peter Bradshaw had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Sunset District. With the bases loaded and the Fog leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
