Steve Green never let Sioux Falls get something going. The Austin right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Black Mambas to a 4-0 win. Rubén Sánchez nailed down his 5th save. The 7th-place Red Pandas dropped to 21-21.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Green was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Sioux Falls trailing 2-0, Green retired Tim Robinson, who struck out.
