Pawnee Scrapes Out 5-2 Win
|
The Sunset District Fog got a sterling performance from pitcher Andrew Martin, but the Pawnee ParksNRec still prevailed, 5-2. Martin threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run. Todd Lee came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-1. With the win, the ParksNRec improved to 23-19.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Tim Blevins? The 25-year old left fielder Blevins stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Pawnee up, 5-2. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.
Pawnee manager Jesús Salazar called it "a pretty good win."
