Win Streak at 6 for Monsters
|
The Monongahela Monsters topped the Hialeah Dodos, 5-3, in M3L Triple A action at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Monongahela pitcher and Gardena, California, native Lester Creed. In 7 innings, Creed surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. The third-place Monsters now sit at 26-19.
In the bottom of the sixth, Monongahela designated hitter Scott Danior put his team on top. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit his 3rd double of the year. Hialeah pitcher Gavriil Wolfson served it up. Just like that, the Monsters were ahead, 4-3.
"Lester pitched his heart out," said Monongahela manager Sancho Tornero.
