Disaster Capture Close Win

The Port Royal Disaster and Ft. Myers Marlins played an entertaining game for League Park patrons.
Starting pitcher Ron Woods gave the Port Royal Disaster a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Ft. Myers Marlins, 3-2, at League Park. Port Royal pitcher Jussi-Pekka Hostikka earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Michael Green suffered the loss.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Kernie LeBlanc? The 22-year old center fielder LeBlanc stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Port Royal up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," LeBlanc told the Port Royal Bulletin.
After today's action, Port Royal sits at 20-25; Ft. Myers slips to 26-19.
