Lake Monsters Absorb 2-1 Loss at Coyote Wildlife Refuge
In a tight tilt between the Hamilton Thunderbirds and the Vermont Lake Monsters, Martin Roach was the deciding factor. The Hamilton left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Roach picked up the win for Hamilton, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. Sam Malone earned his 4th save, after closing out the game.

Hamilton took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Howard Brown stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Thunderbirds.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Vermont manager Alfonso Núñez.
