Men Lose to Hialeah, 6-3
|
The Hialeah Dodos picked up a win at Dodos Ballpark, downing the Florida Men, 6-3. On the mound for Hialeah was left-hander George Butler, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jack Barr recorded the save, his 2nd. Hialeah is now 26-20, while Florida is 34-12.
Graeme Wilshaw had a big 2-run home run for the Dodos in the bottom of the third inning. With Hialeah leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Vic Lee, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Dodos on top, 3-0.
"George is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Hialeah manager Billy Strauss.
