The exploits of right fielder Iestyn Tuxford, who is tied for 5th in the 3AAA in extra base hits with 21, helped the Pawnee ParksNRec defeat the Salt Lake City Buzz, 3-2. Tuxford hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Keith Hays got the win, improving to 1-3. He held the Buzz to 1 run on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Pawnee now owns a record of 20-26.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Tuxford hit a 2-run home run. It thrust the ParksNRec into the lead, 2-0.
"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Tuxford.
