Ballpark of Port Royal was the site for M3L Triple A action featuring the Port Royal Disaster and Port Huron Blitzkrieg.

The Port Huron Blitzkrieg picked up a win at Ballpark of Port Royal, downing the Port Royal Disaster, 8-5. On the mound for Port Huron was right-hander Steve Stewart, who played a pivotal role in the win. Stewart picked up the win for Port Huron, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Luis Montáñez sewed up the save, his 8th.

Port Huron used a well-timed hit by Chris Frank to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Stewart.
