Florida Upended by Sunset District, 9-6
|
The inspired effort of Florida right fielder Bob Ryan was not enough to prevent a loss, 9-6, to the Sunset District Fog. Ryan went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Sunset District pitcher Harlan O'Rorke got the win. He's now 2-1. William Maxwell was tagged with the loss. The 9th-place Men now sit at 21-27.
The Fog got a lift from designated hitter Chris Rodríguez, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Fog on top, 5-3.
"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Sunset District skipper Juan Valéncia.
