Fighting Dachshunds Lose, 7-6, in 10
Fans watched the Hamilton Thunderbirds and the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds fight to the finish.

The Hamilton Thunderbirds topped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 7-6, in 10 innings. Hamilton shortstop Tony Cordero, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Adrik Efremenkov was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Wilson Tamayo.

The Thunderbirds got a clutch hit from designated hitter Austin Kirkpatrick. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Thunderbirds.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Cordero.

Despite the win, the Thunderbirds have a lousy 13-35 record.
