Squirrel Monkeys Absorb 4-1 Loss at The Bamboo Forest
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas knocked off the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 4-1, in M3L Triple A action at The Bamboo Forest. Sioux Falls pitcher and Jacksonville, Florida, native Micheal Richardson had an outstanding performance. Mitch O'Sullivan nailed down the save. Syracuse is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Doug Hall had a big 2-run double for the Red Pandas in the bottom of the first inning. With Sioux Falls leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Joel Woodard, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA with a 1.05 WHIP, and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-0.
Richardson called the win "a collective effort."
