Thanks in large part to right fielder Martinho Vido, the Hartford Pride beat the Salt Lake City Buzz, 5-4. Vido was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Hartford is second in the Menard's AAA with a record of 30-20.

Vido made an early impact for Hartford when he stroked his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the first, put the Pride on top, 3-0.
