Rocks Even Record with 6-5 Victory

Fans watched the Plymouth Rocks and the Hialeah Dodos fight to the finish.
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Gabriel Turner, the Plymouth Rocks defeated the Hialeah Dodos, 6-5. Turner went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Rocks. The winner was Plymouth reliever John McCarthy, now 1-0. The loser was Sosa Kiyomizu.
Had Ángel Macías not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Macías hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Rocks.
"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Turner.
The Rocks, at 25-25, sit in 5th place in the Menard's AAA.
