Marlins 6-3 Winners Over Hamilton
The Ft. Myers Marlins topped the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 6-3, in M3L Triple A action at League Park. The standout performance belonged to Ft. Myers pitcher and Claremont, California, native Logan Bowen. In 7.1 innings, Bowen surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Fernando López recorded his 5th save for Ft. Myers.

The Marlins got an important contribution from first baseman R.J. Atkinson, who in the bottom of the fifth knocked a 0-1 splitter to right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Marlins ahead, 5-2.

"Logan had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Ft. Myers manager Ken McDowell.

At 23-28, the Marlins claim 9th place in the Menard's AAA.
