The Vermont Lake Monsters thumped the Port Royal Disaster, 8-2, at Monster Field. Sidney Ames was a big reason his team got the win. Ames slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Francisco Colón earned the win for Vermont. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 7-3.
