The Hamilton Thunderbirds had to overcome a fine effort from Plymouth pitcher Álex Cruz to win, 4-3, at Plymouth Quarry. Cruz went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Martin Roach, the winner, is now 5-3. He struck out 5 and walked 1 over 7 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 9 hits. Sam Malone earned the save for Hamilton, his 6th.
