Florida Slaps 4-1 Loss on Syracuse
|
The Florida Men got a good effort from starter Dave Phelps in defeating the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys at Psychos Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. Phelps picked up the win for Florida, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2. The Menard's AAA-leading Men have a record of 36-17.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Phelps was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Syracuse trailing 2-0, Phelps retired Mart Vroom, who lined out.
