The Sacramento Redlegs picked up a win at Sacramento Sanitation Station, downing the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 3-2. On the mound for Sacramento was left-hander José Salinas, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sacramento is now 10-6.

The Redlegs got a big at-bat from shortstop Júlio Salinas. For the game, Salinas was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Sacramento a 3-1 lead.

"Winning is contagious," said Salinas. "We're looking forward to the next game."
