John Black put a hex on the Sunset District Fog in a sparkling 1-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 7-hit gem.

"I felt good physically," he said after the game. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."

The Fog were anything but comfortable against the 24-year-old Hamilton Thunderbirds hurler, who fanned 6 and gave up 1 walks.

"Black used his changeup very well, very effectively," said opposing manager Brady Bess. "He threw it in hitter's counts."
