Salt Lake City Buzz starter Masato Rin found his groove in his team's 3-2 win over the Pawnee ParksNRec. Chris Edwards earned the save for Salt Lake City, his 2nd of the year. The 6th-place Buzz hiked their record to 28-29.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Buzz had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the third, when right fielder Blake Gordon hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Keith Hays and made the score 3-1, Buzz. Gordon was 1-2 with 2 walks.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Rin.
